Coastline Agreements

Under the Maori Fisheries Act 2004, the TFCT must reach agreement with other iwi on Tuhoe's coastline length and register this document with TOKM setting out the coastline entitlement for Tuhoe (see section 11 of the Maori Fisheries Act). The agreement will be used to work out the value of remaining settlement assets to be allocated using the coastline formula.
